Welcome to the Lakehead Light Horse Association website, where putting the “FUN” back into horses is our main goal!
The Lakehead Light Horse Association Inc. was first established in 1955 when area horse enthusiasts realized the need for an association to promote horses and the life that revolves around the horse.
The L.L.H.A. has and will always strive to help non-horse people understand our passion and aid in the spread of love of horses. By the promotion of clinics, good sportsmanship, good horsemanship and by giving beginners a helping hand with their animals, we hope to encourage the safe and pleasurable pastime of horses. We are a very family orientated club.
The L.L.H.A. holds gymkhanas monthly from May to October at the Murillo Fair Grounds. Our club has also been involved in helping other organizations in the area host events.
Our club currently has approximately 150 members. If you are interested in attending a L.L.H.A. meeting, they are held the fourth Tuesday of every month from January to November. Meetings begin at 7:30pm at the Stanley Hotel. Visitors and new members are always welcome. Hope to see you there!
